Erwin Karl
DirectorErwin’s avocation as a writer started with his first paid freelance gigs while in high school. He has degrees in engineering and business administration and wrote technical and business communications professionally, but it was the publication of his poems and creative nonfiction that led to his selection for workshops at NYS Writers’ Institute at UAlbany: nonfiction with Richard Selzer and poetry with John Montague. He has regularly contributed to The Source magazine, the Daily Freeman, Urban Rag, Resonance, and International Examiner. He has been a featured reader, host, and promoter for open mics; is a volunteer host at WIOX (91.3 FM); and has written ten-minute plays about the Catskills produced by the Delhi College Players and Preserve Players.
